Description
Telecor SI-125 Amplifier
The TELECOR model SI-125 Amplifier is designed for dependable, continuous operation. The SI-125 delivers up to 125 watts of power at less than 0.5% total harmonic distortion.
Elaborate protection circuitry is implemented in the design to ensure maximum protection from damage caused by overloads and shorted line conditions. Current limiting protection activates whenever the amplifier is overloaded, either by overdriving or by connection to an excessive load or by a short circuit, limiting current to the speaker load. An LED indicator illuminates during the presence of an overload condition.
A thermal sensor detects excessive heat build up and automatically shuts the amplifier down, preventing any damage to internal components. The heat sink temperature is monitored and a warning LED illuminates in the event of an unusual temperature rise.
A calibrated LED level meter indicates the amount of signal present in 3 dB steps, from -30 dB to 0 dB steps, from -30 dB to 0 dB. The “CLIP” LED illuminates when the output stage is about to clip, either from an overdriven input or an overloaded output.
Rear panel input connections provide for the versatility of connecting either a balanced input or single ended input signal sources to the amplifier. A sensitivity switch is also provided, allowing for the selection of 0 dBv (1V) or -20 dBv (100mV) input signal levels. Barrier strips are used for input/output connections, providing more secure wiring and better current-handling capabilities than typical phone jacks or binding posts.
The SI-125 amplifier is provided with a recessed adjustable input attenuator. Screwdriver-adjustable controls discourage casual tampering. A plastic cap is supplied for added security. Output configurations are available for 4 or 8 ohm speakers, as well as 25 or 70 volt constant voltage lines.
The SI-125 amplifier is the replacement for the former PN# TEL-125 amplifier.
