Description
Cornell 4200 Series Rescue Assistance Systems
Cornell Rescue Assistance Systems are emergency alert and evacuation systems designed to enable persons with disabilities to summon evacuation assistance in multi-story commercial buildings and public accommodations.
The 4200 Series incorporates features similar to those found in the 4100 series with voice communication between the call and central stations. The user depresses the call button to send the alarm and visual signal for help, an action which also initiates voice communication. The caller does nothing else to remain in voice communication. A one-time tone and lighted button indicate the alarm has been sent.
At the central station, the operator depresses the appropriate zone button, activating a red alarm LED and a green voice LED. By depressing and releasing the talk button, the operator can maintain voice communication with the caller for as long as is required.
When the emergency is resolved, the operator resets the system using a reset button. Wiring fault notification is also incorporated into the system.
