The Quam SYSTEM 1VP is a complete, vandal resistant loudspeaker system which can be surface mounted on walls or ceilings.
The System 1VP consists of of an 8″ moisture resistant speaker with a 10 oz. magnet and a 5W, 25/70V transformer mounted on a square, stud mount, vandal resistant, steel baffle.
The baffle mounts to a square, steel, vandal resistant, surface mount enclosure with four (4) 8-32 threaded inserts, a single 1/2″ conduit entrance, and two (2) Wiremold knockouts. The backbox can mount directly to a wall or ceiling, but also has hole provisions for mounting to a 4" (1900) electrical box.
Three (3) interwoven, steel security screens are mounted between the faceplate and loudspeaker. Tamper resistant, 8-32 x 1″ ‘pin-in-torx’ hardware is included. The baffle and backbox feature a white powder coat finish.
